Jillex

Tri-ocular auditor. Scientific empath. Professional sceptic.

Jillex originates from the planet Vess-3, whose inhabitants evolved a third eye specifically to peer through lies, subtext, and misleading footnotes. In her youth, she was considered unusually rebellious for filing independent research reports before she was legally allowed to read them.

Drawn to cosmic irregularities, she joined the Department’s Quantitative Narrative Oversight Division, a branch responsible for warning the universe when it is getting ahead of itself. Her scanner, a customised device linked to her physiology, is considered semi-sapient and openly resentful about it.

Jillex’s worldview is purely analytical. Feelings confuse her; metaphors irritate her; unstructured conversation is “a waste of universal bandwidth.” Yet she holds a quiet admiration for Nora, whose aura breaks all known laws of narrative physics.

Unlike Korl, who venerates process, Jillex studies it like a disease. Her presence in the group provides grounding, clarity, and blunt commentary that has saved everyone at least twice.
